Double Heddle weaving isn't necessarily complicated but it can take a bit of getting your head around it so if you like to learn with support, this workshop will be great for you. Ideally you will have your own rigid heddle loom and two heddles with the same dpi.ย We normally work with sock yarn and we'd like you to work with colours you like so two 8dpi heddles is great. We do have a small selection of looms you can borrow but it's a first come first served situation so bear that in mind.ย Also, if you have your own loom you can warp up and then not have to cut your work at the end of the workshop, you can just take your loom home and carry on. No, this definitely isn't.ย You will need to have a basic understanding of how a loom works and be comfortable with weaving.ย If you want to build up your confidence then take a look at our Two Day Rigid Heddle Weaving course which will take you through everything you need to know. The workshop will be held at Luna Meeting Room, behind Ryde Cafe in the Northern Lights Building, 5 Mann Street, Liverpool, L8 5AF, part of Cains Brewery Village To book, order your place and I will confirm with an email and ask which date you'd like to come along to.
