Two Day Spinning in Liverpool
11th & 12th October
Join us for two days of spinning fibre into yarn in the inspiring Brewery Village in Liverpool
Luna Meeting room, Ryde Cafe, Mann Street, Liverpool L8 5AF
Complete Beginners are welcome, with or without your own wheel.
On Day 1:
- Washing a fleece
- Carding fleece using hand carders and also using a drum carder
- Discussing different sheep fibres and the effect they will have on your spinning
- Mastering drafting and treadling
On Day 2:
- Refining your technique
- Plying your singles
- Finishing your work and how to move forward
Classes are kept small so that you can have all the support you need to master this skill.
About the Venue
There is parking at the venue, it costs £5 for the day. Sometimes there are spaces on the road if you're lucky.
We will provide teas and coffees throughout the day, lunch is not included but there is a brilliant cafe at the venue providing veggie and vegan options. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch
